For my set it needed to be quite bare, almost unfurnished, with books and clothes scattered around and it definitely helped having a SketchUp model to refer to before to have a better picture of what the space looks like in my head.
There was some discrepancy over what bed sheets to use as the production designer wanted to use lined bedding that evoked imagery of a cage, however the director wanted to stick to the blue colour palette which I agreed looked better. Other than that there didn’t seem to be any major issues, I required a few extra pair of hands to move everything as a lot of stuff was inside that I didn’t want which was really useful.
I was very happy with how it turned out and believe it looked good on camera.
