After trying to get in contact with a few friends of mine to get a good location, it turned out they weren’t what the director was looking for and so we ended up with The Old Dairy.
This was an amazing open plan location that had a lot of potential and made me even more excited about working on it.
Being in charge of the bedroom I wanted to make sure I captured what the director envisioned, especially as a lot of scenes are filmed in this set. We had a really important meeting as an art department with the director on how she wanted the layout of the sets to look. I found this so important as it helped a lot in understanding Sofia’s thought process and why certain thing had to be in certain places. Digging deeper in how a camera shot could deceive the audience, or realising something that I thought wouldn’t be seen in fact would.
